This Privacy Policy describes how Diced ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the mobile applications we publish (each an "App") and our website at www.diced.com.br (together, the "Service"). This single policy applies to all Diced apps; where a practice applies only to apps with a specific feature (for example, ads or camera features), this is stated explicitly.
The short version: our apps are built to work without user accounts. We do not ask for your name or email, we do not maintain a database of users, and the content you create in an app stays on your device. The limited exceptions — advertising in ad-supported apps, and photos you actively submit to AI features — are described below.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
Across all of our apps:
- No accounts. Our apps do not require registration, sign-in, or any profile. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or contacts.
- No user database. We do not maintain server-side records that identify individual users of our apps.
- No precise location tracking. We do not collect or store your GPS location on our servers. Where a feature uses location (for example, showing your distance to an event), the calculation happens on your device.
- No sale of personal data. We do not sell personal information, and we never have.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
Content and settings you create inside an app — such as preferences, themes, history, saved items, recordings, and favorites — are stored locally on your device only. This data is not transmitted to us. You can remove it at any time by clearing the app's data in your device settings or by uninstalling the app, which deletes it permanently.
3. Feature-Specific Practices
Keyboard apps
If you use one of our keyboard apps, everything you type is processed entirely on your device. We do not collect, transmit, store, or analyze your keystrokes, passwords, messages, or any other text you type — under any circumstances. Typing suggestions are generated from dictionaries bundled inside the app. In ad-supported keyboard apps, advertising works as described in the Advertising section below and never receives or has access to the content you type.
Camera and photos
Some apps offer features that use your camera or photo library — for example, identifying an object from a photo. The camera is only used when you actively take or select a picture for such a feature. When a feature requires AI processing, the image you submit is sent to our servers solely to generate the result, is not used to identify you, is not shared with third parties for their own purposes, and is not retained beyond what is needed to deliver the result to you.
Microphone and audio
Apps with recording features access the microphone only when you start a recording. Audio is recorded and processed on your device; recordings stay on your device unless you choose to share them yourself through your own messaging or sharing apps.
Push notifications
Apps with alert or reminder features use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), a Google service, to deliver notifications. Our apps use anonymous, topic-based subscriptions (for example, a region or a minimum alert level you choose): we do not store device push tokens or link subscriptions to any identity on our servers. You can disable notifications at any time in the app or in your device settings. Google's processing is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Content feeds
Some apps display information from public data sources (for example, public event or schedule feeds). These requests are made through our servers without any account or identity attached to them.
4. Advertising, Analytics & Install Attribution
Some of our free apps are supported by ads served through Google AdMob. In those apps, Google may collect and process certain data to serve and measure ads, which can include your device's advertising ID, IP address, and coarse (approximate) location derived from it, as well as ad-interaction data. This collection is performed by Google under its own policies:
You can limit ad personalization or reset your advertising ID at any time in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads on most Android devices). Apps without ads do not include the AdMob SDK and do not collect any of the data above. Each app's Data Safety section on Google Play describes the exact practices of that app.
Some ad-supported apps additionally include analytics and install-attribution SDKs, which help us understand — in aggregate, never individually — how an app is used and whether our own advertising for it works:
- Google Firebase Analytics — records standard events (such as the app being opened for the first time) and a small set of anonymous usage events (for example, that a recording was exported), associated with your device's advertising ID. Google's processing is described in the Google Privacy Policy linked above.
- Meta (Facebook) SDK — when we advertise an app on Meta platforms, this SDK reports the app install and the same kind of anonymous in-app events to Meta so that ad performance can be measured. This involves your device's advertising ID and standard device information, processed by Meta under the Meta Privacy Policy.
These events never include your recordings, photos, file names, contacts, or any content you create — only anonymous counters. Resetting or deleting your advertising ID (Settings → Google → Ads) limits both; you can also manage how Meta uses your ad data in Meta's Ad preferences. Apps that include these SDKs say so in their Google Play Data Safety section.
5. Our Website
Our website at www.diced.com.br is a static informational site. It does not require an account. Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard, short-lived server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and operational purposes. The website may display ads through Google AdSense, which may use cookies or similar technologies as described in the Google policies linked above; you can control cookies through your browser settings. If you contact us by email, we use your message and address only to reply to you.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Because our apps do not use accounts, there is generally no personal data held by us to delete: everything you create in an app lives on your device and is removed when you clear the app's data or uninstall it. Images submitted to AI features are not retained beyond processing, and notification subscriptions are anonymous. If you believe we hold any personal information about you — for example, from an email conversation — contact us and we will delete it, unless we are legally required to keep it.
7. Legal Bases and Your Rights
Where data protection laws apply — including the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD), the EU/UK GDPR, and similar laws — we process the limited data described in this policy on the basis of legitimate interests (operating, securing, and funding the Service) or your consent (for example, when you enable notifications or submit a photo to an AI feature). You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data concerning you, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. 8. Disclosure Required by Law
We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (for example, a court or government agency), to protect the rights, property, or safety of Diced, our users, or the public, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — in which case we will provide notice before any personal data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
9. Data Security
We design our apps to minimize data collection in the first place — data that is never collected cannot be leaked. For the limited data that does transit our servers, we use encrypted connections (HTTPS) and commercially reasonable safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since our apps work without accounts and keep content on-device, they do not ask children (or anyone) for personal details. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Third-Party Links
Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or apps that we do not operate — for example, a link to an official broadcaster's app or website. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content or privacy practices of any third party. We advise you to review the privacy policy of every site or app you visit.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, when we release a new app or add a feature that changes how data is handled. Changes are posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date at the top and are effective when posted. Material changes affecting a specific app will also be reflected in that app's Data Safety section on Google Play.
